YEA! You're Enough Already, So Thrive!
The very core of thriving is direct, total, unconditional self-acceptance. Many of us will spend an entire lifetime convinced that we are not enough. And, because of it, we will strive unmercifully, create chronic stress that undermines our well-being, and essentially devote energy that could be engaged in aliveness, rather working against our own self-restriction and inhibitions. To find our way through this together, this session is designed to explore how we have been so epoxied to this idea of not being enough, and then to determine how each of us can turn around a lifetime of misguided disbelief in ourselves. Initially we tackle the imprint of socialization, our own maladaptation, how we inhaled the teachings of shame from those around us and in the culture. The we begin to determine how we will release ourselves from the self-restriction. Participants are encouraged to keep a journal of their transition from a survival mentality to a thrival mentality.
